Michael Moody obtained his Juris Doctorate degree at Georgia State University. The law school conferred upon Mr. Moody two American Jurisprudence Awards for excellence in Constitutional and Comparative Law. Moody served as Senior Assistant Solicitor from 1991 until 1995, where he was selected by the Solicitor General to train the DUI Task Force. During Mr. Moody's time at the Solicitor's Office in Atlanta, he tried cases involving domestic violence and DUI. The former District Attorney of the Cobb Judicial Circuit, Tom Charron appointed Moody as Assistant District Attorney in 1995. Mr. Moody was later selected to become Trial Team Supervisor where he was responsible for supervising 5 other Assistant District Attorneys in three Superior Courtrooms. Mr. Moody has tried over 200 bench and jury trials including all major felonies; i.e., Murder, Rape, Burglary, Aggravated Assault, Armed Robbery and all types of drug cases. Mr. Moody is a member of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys and the Association of Savannah Criminal Defense Attorneys. Mr. Moody is also a practicing member of the United States Federal District Court, the Georgia Supreme Court and the Georgia Court of Appeals.
